Power cable accessories are products that connect cables with power transmission and distribution lines and related power distribution devices. They generally refer to the intermediate connection and terminal connection of various cables in the cable line. The purpose is to restore the electrical insulation performance of the cable to realize the electrical equipment. The power cable accessories and cables together form a power transmission network; the cable accessories are mainly based on the characteristics of the cable structure, which can not only restore the performance of the cable, but also ensure the extension of the cable length and the connection of the terminals. The reliability of high-voltage cable accessories can be judged from the aspects of electrical performance, sealing and moisture-proof performance, mechanical performance and process performance.

·Terminal connection: divided into indoor terminal and outdoor terminal: In general, outdoor terminal refers to the outdoor cable joint, and indoor terminal refers to the joint between indoor connecting cable and electrical equipment.

·Intermediate connection: There are two types of straight-through type and insulated type.

The matching requirements of the cable accessories from the factory:

A complete set of quality assurance procedures for cable accessories should at least include the following:

1. When the cable accessories leave the factory, the key components (for example, the rubber stress cone, the epoxy resin sleeve of the GIS, the impregnating agent, the prefabricated parts of the intermediate joint, etc.) should be strictly tested. Carefully check that test and measurement equipment is reliable, test methods are valid, test personnel are well-trained, and test records are complete;

2. Whether the installation and construction personnel dispatched by the cable accessories manufacturer have been strictly trained and have sufficient construction experience;

3. Whether the coordination between different departments of the cable accessories manufacturer is good;

4. Past sales and operation records.

Types of cable accessories:

There are many types of cable accessories, with different types of characteristics and limitations, and generally cannot replace each other.

The common ones are as follows:

1. Wrap-around cable accessories: The cable accessories made of rubber tape (self-adhesive) on-site are called wrap-around cable accessories, which are easy to loosen, have poor fire resistance and short life.

2. Pouring type cable accessories: It is made of thermosetting resin as the main material and poured on site. The selected materials are epoxy resin, polyurethane, acrylic resin, etc. The fatal disadvantage of this type of cable accessories is that it is easy to generate air bubbles during curing.

3. Molded cable accessories: It is mainly used for the intermediate connection of cables, and the mold heating is performed on site to integrate with the cable. The production process of this accessory is complicated and takes a long time, and it is not suitable for terminal joints.

4. Cold-shrinkable cable accessories: use silicone rubber, EPDM and other elastomers to pre-expand in the factory and add plastic support bars to form. During on-site construction, the support bar is pulled out to make the pipe shrink on the cable under the inherent elastic effect of rubber to make a cable accessory. This accessory is most suitable for construction sites that cannot be heated by open flames, such as mines, petrochemicals, etc.;

5. Heat-shrinkable cable accessories: The rubber-plastic alloy is made into different component products withshape memory effect;, and the accessories are made by heating and shrinking on the cable on site. The cable accessories have the advantages of light weight, simple and convenient construction, and reliable operation. , low price, etc.;

6. Prefabricated cable accessories: silicone rubber is injected into different components, one-time vulcanization molding, only the contact interface is retained, and the accessories are made by inserting cables during on-site construction. The construction process reduces the unpredictable unfavorable factors in the environment to a minimum, so the accessory has huge potential use value and is the development direction of cross-linked cable accessories, but the manufacturing technology is difficult and involves a variety of disciplines and industries. The installation material of the prefabricated accessories below the three-pronged port and the shielding port of the cable is still made of heat-shrinkable materials, so it is actually a combination of prefabricated cable accessories and heat-shrinkable cable accessories.
