1. Heat shrinkable cable accessories

     Heat-shrinkable cable accessories, commonly known as heat-shrinkable cable heads, are the most common accessories in power transportation. They are generally used on the terminals of high and low voltage cross-linked cables or oil-immersed cables. Compared with traditional cable accessories, they are small in size, light in weight, Safe and reliable, easy to install and so on. It is widely used in the intermediate connection and terminal of cross-linked cable or oil-immersed cable with voltage level of 35KV and below. The product conforms to GB11033 standard, the long-term use temperature range is -55℃～125℃, the aging life is up to 20 years, the radial shrinkage rate is ≥50%, the longitudinal shrinkage rate is less than 5%, and the shrinkage temperature is 110℃～140℃.

2. Wrap-around cable accessories

    Wrapped cable heads are generally used in low-voltage cable heads, and those wrapped with insulating plastic tape are wrapped cable heads. Its waterproofness, durability, and aesthetics are not as good as heat-shrinkable cable heads. The scope of application is limited to cables with a single-core wire diameter less than or equal to 70mm2. It can only be laid openly, not buried, and the safety performance is poor. If it is touched by a sharp object or hit by an external force, the wound insulating tape may be damaged, resulting in an electric leakage accident. But there is one advantage, that is, the cost is low and the construction is convenient

3. Cold shrinkable cable head

    Cold-shrinkable cable heads are now generally used with cold-shrinkage stress control tubes, with voltage levels ranging from 10kV to 35kV. Cold-shrinkable cable terminal, 1kV class adopts cold-shrinkable insulating tube for reinforced insulation, and 10kV class adopts cold-shrinkable insulating parts with inner and outer semi-conductive shielding layers. The cold-shrinkable cable accessory material uses the excellent elasticity of high tear-resistant and high-elasticity silicone rubber, and uses the spiral tubular plastic support material to expand the original state of the accessory to the size required by the process. Take it out, the accessories are tightly wrapped on the cable by the rubber elasticity, the use conditions: -50℃ ~ 200℃ .

The cold shrinkable cable terminal has the advantages of small size, convenient operation, rapid operation, no need for special tools, wide application range and small product specifications. Compared with heat-shrinkable cable accessories, it does not need to be heated by fire, and there is no risk of disengagement between the internal layers of the accessories as with heat-shrinkable cable accessories when moved or bent after installation (because the cold-shrinkable cable accessories are made of High tear resistance, high elasticity silicone rubber excellent elastic pressing force).

4. Casting cable head

To put it simply, the pouring cable head is to use a mold to fix the cable head, pour epoxy resin into it, and remove the mold after drying.

5. Prefabricated cable accessories

It is an accessory made by injecting silicone rubber into different components, one-time vulcanization molding, only retaining the contact interface, and inserting cables during construction on site. The construction process reduces the unfavorable factors in the environment to a relatively low level, so the accessory has huge potential use value and is the development direction of the cross-linked cable accessory, but the manufacturing technology is difficult and involves a variety of disciplines and industries.

To sum up, heat shrink and cold shrink cable accessories have obvious advantages in the middle. Water resistance, impact resistance, strong airtightness, and a wide range of applications. Although the cost is high, it is generally used for lines with a long service time.
